Ventura County son, brother and surfer, Brennan Harrell, passed away too early in 2019. Brennan was an accomplished surfer who loved the outdoors and sharing it with his friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, his family encouraged people to donate to Surfrider Ventura in Brennan’s honor. The outpouring of support was so generous that we are hosting our August beach cleanup every year in his memory. It was too short notice in 2019 for the August cleanup so this year the September cleanup is in his memory then from 2020 on it will be set for his birth month, August.
The beach cleanup on Saturday September 21st 2019 from 9am-noon will be held at Surfers Point / C St in Ventura. Surfrider will be set up on the promenade near the Crowne Plaza hotel, look for our blue tent. The Crowne Plaza offers free valet parking for cleanup participants.
