Join Surfrider and our fellow coastal preservation enthusiasts this Earth Day for a county-wide beach cleanup effort on Saturday, April 24th. This year's EarthDay theme is "Restore our Earth", what better way to honor that theme than by getting outside in your immediate area and cleaning it up?
This year, please make a commitment to restore your community’s environment, even if that means only picking up a single piece of trash. (It only takes one person picking up a cigarette butt to inspire others to do the same!)
Read on to see groups already supporting our commitment to Restore Our Earth!
Thank you to all the organizations who have partnered with us to promote these cleanups, including Santa Barbara Channel Keepers, Steven Gama, Coastal Keepers, Friends of Ormond Beach, Ventura Audubon Society, Ventura Land Trust, and the CSUCI Green Generation Club.

Do Your Own Solo Cleanup!
Making a difference is as easy as walking outside your home and picking up one piece of garbage off the street. All you need is a pair of gloves and a bucket or trash bag. Trash has a tendency to build up near storm drains, along fence lines, and overflowing trashcans.
Please consider doing a solo cleanup any of these hot spots for trash on Earth Day and be sure to log your data under the team name "SurfriderVentura" on the Ocean Conservancy's Clean Swell App. Directions on how to use the app are posted here. Information on how to do a solo beach cleanup can be found here
