Every day, the Surfrider Foundation and our volunteer activist network work to protect our coasts. On International Surfing Day, we take a moment to celebrate and enjoy the beaches and waves that we all love.
The theme of this year’s ISD is “Protect & Enjoy.” Head to the beach, take someone surfing for the first time, participate in a beach cleanup and make your voice heard!
Join us on Saturday, June 16th from 10am-2pm on the beach on the Northside of the Ventura Pier (look for the Surfrider Foundation banner.)
From 10-12, A Walk on Water (AWOW) will be demonstrating Surf Therapy and Ohana Surf Camp will be giving beginner surf lessons.
Stay tuned to our Facebook and Eventbrite pages to find out how you could be chosen to participate in the fun!
Experienced surfers are welcome and encouraged to come!
If you don't surf you can come out and participate in activities such as a frisbee toss and cornhole or just relax on the beach and take it all in.
Yachak Organic Yerba Mate, snacks from Clif Bar, and coffee from Ambrosia by Caffrodite will be provided!
Discounts on wetsuit and surfboard rentals from Seaward Surf and Sport and Rip Curl will be given on the day of when you mention ISD!
From 2pm on, join us at Leashless Brewing on Thompson Blvd. for 25% off their craft beer, live music and a raffle fundraiser for your local, beloved Surfrider VC chapter!
