Thank you Ventura City Council for taking the first steps towards an EPS foam ban for Ventura! At the February 24th meeting, Councilmembers unanimously agreed to move forward with a plastics reduction ordinance. City staff will be coming back with recommendations for City Council to consider in the coming months. Read more about it from the VC Star here.
EPS foam, commonly called Styrofoam, is a top item collected at beach cleanups. It breaks apart easily, making it harder to fully contain when littered.
In addition to banning EPS foam foodware (clamshells, cups, etc.) at restaurants and other food providers, it is important to also ban the retail sales of EPS foam coolers and foodware. They all contribute to the foam that we find at beach cleanups and washed along the shoreline after it rains.
Please sign this action alert thanking City Council for taking the first steps towards an EPS foam ban and asking them to include retail sales of EPS foam in the final ordinance.займ на карту без отказа с 18 лет
