Surfrider Ventura County's Blue Water Task Force 2025-2026 Annual Report is live!

Blue Water Task Force has completed the 2026-2026 sampling and reporting season. 

Ocean water that is safe to enter is not detectable just by observing the water. We sample and test ocean water for the presence of fecal indicator bacteria during the wet weather season, when the Ventura County Environmental Health Division reduces its testing from 40 sites to 19 sites.
