Ventura County Got Trashy this Earth Day

After a year of being cooped up at home due to the COVID closures, we could feel the energy in the air as volunteers geared up to finally get outside the week of Earth Day. This energy was felt throughout the county, as local organizations throughout Ventura hosted cleanups almost every day from April 18-25th in honor of Earth Day.

A BIG thank you to all of the incredible volunteers that came to Ormond Island Saturday the 24th! The great folks at Kirby Subaru stepped up again with their support and donations to our chapter and our Ormond Beach program. Together, we picked up over 1,400 lbs of trash in 3 hours!

Thank you to all the volunteers, individuals, and organizations that got outside to Restore Our Earth this weekend, including the Santa Barbara Channel Keepers, Friends of Ormond Beach, Steven Gama and Port Hueneme REACH, Coastal Keepers, and the CCL Ventura County Youth Group
